The Postgraduate Diploma in the field of Innovation and Entrepreneurship is tailored to enable researchers and aspirant entrepreneurs to innovate and fast-track ideas to market by teaching them how to plan, build, protect, and monetise innovation. In this dynamic programme, students will acquire all the essential skills to make a success of technical innovation within a university research context, combined with entrepreneurship. Led by the Wits Innovation Centre, and situated in a vibrant inter-disciplinary environment, the course is taught by leading experts from the Faculties of Science, Engineering, Wits Business School, and the Wits School of Business Sciences.

The 𝐌𝐳𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 is tech startup support program in collaboration with the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA). See the top three projects battle it out for a cash prize! Tshimologong Precinct has worked with 10 tech start-ups who have a working prototype and a valid revenue model. The startups went through an intense 12-week acceleration program which prepared that the start-ups for investment.

Digital Lab Africa (DLA) is the first mentorship and incubation program dedicated to innovative creative and digital content in Africa. The very idea of DLA is to offer emerging talents a springboard to fast-track their project’s development, with the support and expertise of DLA creative industries ecosystems in France and in Sub-Saharan African countries. It has incubated 48 projects since 2016. Digital Lab Africa has developed a large network in the French and Pan-African market and has continued to grow by offering an exclusive global mentorship programme that gives creatives access to experienced mentors, experts and studios from around the world.
