The act of observation did not make the clouds rain from that interaction, knowledge emerges with movement, we find their rhythm we give it meaning and create a dance of the time we can hold.

Holding a cloud is an artwork based on the observation effect, where the observer disturbs the observed. One should interact with the work to discover the image. There is no trick; it is only light. One's position and movement give focus to discovering the universe within.

The Studio Quantum Project is an international artist-in-residence program organised by the Goethe-Institut, focused on exploring emerging quantum technologies through the lens of art. Ale de la Puente is one of eight international artists selected for the 2024 residency, alongside South African artist Natalie Paneng. At the end of the program, both artists works will be showcased at the Fak’ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival, where their unique perspectives on quantum technologies will be featured as part of this prestigious event.
