At the Fak’ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival, Chimere, a multimodal AI chatbot, will feature in an interactive and participatory art installation. This unique project merges AI with human creativity, involving artists and communities from South Africa, Lesotho, and beyond. Attendees can engage with Chimere’s evolving stream of consciousness through live performances, workshops, and discussions, exploring the ethical and cultural implications of AI in art. The project aims to diversify AI representations by collaborating with the underrepresented cultural communities to create new, inclusive datasets that reflect a broader spectrum of human culture.
